ALL RESERVATIONS WITH WRITE AWAY EUROPE ARE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING
CONDITIONS: Submitting of registration form and
payment of deposit to Write Away Europe indicates acknowledgement
and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
RESERVATION
REQUEST & PAYMENT: Upon registrants request for reservation,
Write Away Europe will advise registrant of amount of deposit needed
to initiate a reservation and full charges to finalize. Upon receipt
of deposit payment and acceptance by Write Away Europe, registrant
will be notified of receipt of payment. The balance payment will be
due a minimum of 10 weeks prior to retreat commencement. For
reservations not confirmed with such timely final payment, Write
Away Europe reserves the right to amend or cancel reservation
request.
RETREAT/PRICING: In the event of unforeseen
circumstances over which Write Away Europe has no control, Write
Away Europe reserves the right to offer a substitute accommodation
of similar category. When extenuating circumstances dictate, prices,
conditions, staffing or schedule may be subject to change or
amendment. Write Away Europe will notify participant of any said
changes as soon as possible.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: Once a deposit has been rendered and a
Write Away Europe confirmation/invoice has been issued to client,
any cancellation must reach Write Away Europe in writing.
Cancellation penalties are as follows: a) More than 12 weeks prior
to start date: $500 (deposits are non-refundable but may be
transferrable and used as a deposit to reserve a
place in any future Write Away Europe retreat in the same and/or
following calendar year with notice given more than 12 weeks in
advance). b) Less than 12 weeks before start date,
the following percentage of the total fee is retained: 10-12 weeks:
30%; 8-10 weeks: 60%; 6-8 weeks: 75%; less than 6 weeks: no refunds.
In order to most fully protect registrants, Write Away Europe
strongly recommends that clients take out travel insurance that
includes trip cancellation coverage. The participant will be solely
responsible for any expenses or liability not covered by their
personal travel insurance plan. The best way to protect yourself
from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase good travel
insurance to protect in case of any unforeseen circumstances,
including, medical emergencies, positive Covid tests before or
during trip, choosing to cancel participation and/or any retreat
being canceled or rescheduled due to natural disaster, man-made
disaster, mitigating circumstances or force majeure or cancellation
caused by not enough participants to run the retreat or medical, or
travel expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become ill
or injured. We strongly recommend checking your travel insurance
policy before you the trip, to determine what level of insurance
coverage you may receive if you are quarantined or get sick while
traveling. Please direct all coverage questions directly to your
provider.
DISCLAIMER: Write Away Europe makes every effort to
ensure that the information provided to participants is correct and
that properties are properly maintained, clean, functional and safe
for occupancy, however, Write Away Europe assumes no liability for
any errors or inaccuracies or external circumstances beyond its
control such as, but not limited to, staff cancellations, weather
conditions, events which do not achieve the required retreat/program
minimum, maintenance work, mechanical faults which may result in
some amenities or scheduled events becoming temporarily or
permanently unavailable. Write Away Europe reserves the right to
make changes to the itinerary, accommodation or facilitators.
RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT & LIABILITY WAIVER: By registering with
Write Away Europe, I accept and acknowledge that there are risks
associated with any foreign travel experience and I will use
appropriate caution/discretion when traveling/residing in a new
area. I agree to leave the premises in clean, good, working order. I
also agree to release Write Away Europe and its officers, employees
and agents from any and all liability for consequential damages or
complaints resulting from any incurred loss, injury or death,
accidents, damages, theft, grievances, extra expenses due to delays,
damages or cancellations, schedule changes, sickness, quarantine,
acts of nature, strikes, civil strife, war or warlike conditions or
other circumstances beyond its control or for any of the above
arising due to my participation in Write Away Europe retreats. Write
Away Europe will make every effort to operate all retreats as
advertised but also fully and wholly reserves the right to alter or
cancel the retreat or make reasonable substitutions or reschedulings
as deemed necessary. In the event of cancellation or rescheduling,
Write Away Europe’s liability, if any, shall be limited to and
liquidated by a credit to each prospective participant. I further
acknowledge and accept a) that Write Away Europe acts only as an
agent, and assumes no responsibility or liability in connection with
the services of any property owners or their employees; b) that
Write Away Europe reserves the right to decline to accept or retain
participants in its retreats and events, and to withdraw a scheduled
retreat should conditions warrant or necessitate, in which event the
amount paid by the participant may be credited for rescheduled or
future retreats.); c) that in the event it becomes necessary or
advisable for the comfort and well-being of participants, or for any
reason whatsoever, Write Away Europe reserves the right to alter
announced arrangements without penalty; d) that Write Away Europe
accepts no liability for any travel provider or carrier’s
cancellation penalty incurred by the purchase of a non-refundable
airline or other ticket to the destination and return; e) that I am
solely responsible for obtaining any necessary visas, vaccinations
or mandated medical test for safe travel; and be willing to test in
accordance to regulations prior to travel dates. f) that I
acknowledge the advisability of obtaining travel insurance to cover
the various risks associated with foreign travel. I agree that it is
the intention of Write Away Europe to provide services as described
on the Write Away Europe website, and by registering for a Write
Away Europe retreat I accept the arrangements as described and
certify that I am mentally and physically capable of full
participation in this program. By submitting this form I certify
that I have carefully read the above and agree to abide by these
conditions. I have also read and understand fully the Disclaimer and
the conditions of the Cancellation Policy as set out above.
PRIVACY POLICY: All information shared
by individuals on the registration form is used solely by Write Away
Europe's administration and faculty. Write Away Europe does not
and will not ever share, sell or trade personal information to any
third party.
